We have received fantastic news today. David from the council has managed to secure us 46k worth of funding which along with the 4k we already have makes 50k in the pot for the track changes  This basically means we now have enough money to make the necessary changes to the track, improve our spectator area and purchase a new start gate The paperwork is all continuing and as soon as this is sorted (hopefully end of Feb) the works will commence. Subject to weather we intend the works to be completed in April. We will be continuing with our fund raising efforts as there are still other things we need to purchase such as pens, a new container and flood lighting. Sharon and Matt deserve a huge pat on the back for obtaining this funding, it's extremely difficult to get funding at the minute, especially for changes rather than massive builds and the fact that the award has been approved goes to show just how hard Sharon and Matt have worked chasing people up and bending ears, WELL DONE GUYS It will no doubt move Bad BMX into a new era, with the possibility of hosting National events and bigger, something which can only be a good thing for both the club and local community.
